eBay Listing Authentication
eBay Listing Authentication
In order to use the e-Store Connector for eBay.com, you must have a valid eBay RequestToken.
Having an eBay RequestToken insures that only registered users are making
updates between e-Store Connector for eBay.com and eBay.
Request token
The request token is required by eBay, so that 3rd party applications or services
can authenticate an eBay user, without revealing any personally identifiable
user information such as your eBay User ID and Password.
In order to obtain a request token from eBay, simply click on the Get a request
token link. You will be transferred to the eBay login screen. Upon a successful
login, you will see the eBay instructions and details about the actions the
e-Store Connector will be able to perform on your behalf. If you agree to grant the
e-Store Connector for eBay.com those rights, you will be redirected to the page containing your
token and its expiration date and time. Simply copy your request token, paste
it into Utilities -> eBay screen and finally click the 'Update' button to
have it saved.
When the request token's expiration time comes, you will not be able to list
items to eBay using the e-Store Connector. Simply repeat the procedure listed above
to get a new token.
